New Open Space Wellbeing Studio

Open Space Wellbeing Studio - June/July
with Claire Hilton

These sessions are free of charge thanks to funding from The National Lottery and Awards for All.
This group is aimed at individuals who have a mental health diagnosis from the community, supported living environments or those who are marginalised and isolated or suffering from depression/anxiety. This studio group will be a supported creative space to try out new materials, techniques and meet new people. Facilitated by a qualified Art Therapist, the group will all work independently on their own projects whilst being supported and inspired by each other. This could be your chance to start something new, complete something you've always wanted or just take some time to yourself to try out materials you never have before. Being creative is something that aids self expression, helps with problem solving and can aid in self reflection. This is an informal 'no wrong approach' group, where all you need it an open mind and the will to try. Get out of the house, meet new people and try something new! Materials provided but you are also welcome to bring your own.

If you are interested in attending but there are no places available please contact us and we will put you on the waiting list.

When: Tuesday 2pm-4pm
Date: 4th June - 16th July 2019 (7 weeks).

New one off taster sessions!

Kick Start Your Creativity Workshop
with Claire Hilton

Kick start your creativity is a workshop designed to simplify getting started with the act of making and break down your creative block. This one off workshop will be looking at simple exercises that can be done in a snap as well as ways you can nurture and experiment with your own interests and ideas outside the session. Its often difficult to find time to nurture your inner creative in our busy lives. We often make excuses for not doing creative things - We don't have the materials or the time to make this a reality. Materials don't need to be expensive (or even specialist) to get creative and give you some new ideas to get going again. Maybe you have done creative activities before and stopped? Do you really want to reintroduce creativity to your life? Maybe you have always wanted to try something creative and never given yourself the chance? No previous experience required and come as you are approach. Just come along with an open mind and willing to give it a go.
