We’re very excited to announce that we have appointed Hannah Phillips as our new Director of Transformation.
In her newly created role Hannah will build on the great work Worcester Arts Workshop has delivered over the last 40 years as an inclusive community arts hub. Hannah will lead the revitalisation of our organisation to ensure we continue to inspire a diverse future generation of artists for the next 40 years, in Worcester and across Worcestershire.
The Director of Transformation will drive organisational change and improvements, cementing Worcester Arts Workshop as a contemporary provider of the arts to a diverse range of individuals and groups. Hannah will also provide leadership for the physical development of the Workshop building and spaces – making it more accessible to users with a disability and an inviting, inspiring space.
Hannah comes to the Workshop with a wealth of previous experience. Her previous positions include Director of Artrix Arts Centre in Bromsgrove, Artistic Director of Outspoken, a company of emerging artists making work for and with young people around issues of health and well-being and former Deputy Director of Birmingham School of Acting where she ran a community arts degree.
Hannah is also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Association and is currently completing a practice-as-research based PhD at The University of Warwick.
We’re looking forward to welcoming Hannah to the team when she officially starts on the 3rd of July. There will be lots of news and opportunities to collaborate over the coming months – to keep up to date with all our developments sign up to our newsletter beneath.
